Creating an Academic Personal Webpage

James Smith will present a seminar on how to create an Academic Personal Webpage.

Having an online presence is essential for marketing your work, highlighting accomplishments, and demonstrating your potential to future employers and collaborators. In this presentation, I walk through the basics of designing and creating a personal website with the goal of making a simple, clean, and modern looking site. After going over some basic best practices, I will walk through how to get started with a website using github and free bootstrap templates.

The seminar will be both in person in PAS 522 and via Zoom.
